Surprised that Plaid have polled so low.

From my friend's facebook status

WELSH SEATS RECAP: CARDIFF SOUTH - CON :: CARDIFF WEST -LAB :: CARDIFF NORTH - CON :: CARDIFF CENTRAL - LIBDEM :: MONTGOMERYHSIRE - CON :: Plaid not polling well outside of heartlines. UKIP doing very well. LibDems challenging Labour in Swansea, but losing ground across much of Wales

so 2 x con, 1 x lab and 1 x lib dem in Wales.  Awful.  For Wales to vote conservative on this scale is bloody awful.

Peter Hain is trying to claim on the radio that the Tories are having a night of failure and should be doing much better than they have done.

Some Labour spokesperson in Leicester was trying to tell the BBC that Labour are doing well...  uh, hello?

Keith Vaz, Leicester might be a bit unusual, large asian population, and a good percentage Hindu voters, so it might buck external trends.

They said Labour had held up in Leicester, UKIP collapsed.

Large Asian population motivated to vote against the likes of the BNP and UKIP?

Is this Asian as in China/Japan/Thailand or the British variety of Asian as in Arabs?

The "British variety of Asians" are not Arabs but South Asian (Indian and Pakistani).

I heard earlier that in his seat Labour was knocked back to third place, but not seen any solid figures.

Yeah, can't remember where I'd read it now.  Meh, I'm sure it'll pop back up if the results do show it.
