However much f..wits like him believe that the canon is eternal, all faith is a cultural phenomenon and that which doesn't adapt, dies. Christianity has done back flips before in order to survive and will do so again. All of this hoo-hah about homosexuality is just political in-fighting between factions within the hierarchy.
