Getting it published depends on finding an agent, then whether it takes an editor's fancy. Getting it made into a "bestseller" depends on whether the editor thinks it's a good career move for her/im, and has a stable enough position with enough clout in the publishing house (which is not about to be taken over by another) to get big enough backing for the book.
