...adding: I hope they'll do this and get it done, of course.  The problem remains that we have a certain group of insurance-funded asshats in the Senate who continue pushing bizarre ideas.  Conrad says he's for a public option if it has 60 votes.  Ditto Baucus.  So now the problems are Nelson, Evan Bayh -- who's voting even more conservative than usual in this Congress -- and Holy Joe.

Nelson can probably be won over at least for cloture.  HoJo's vote may well depend on whether he'd like to run again in 2012 and whether his behavior in 2008 was, as some argued, simply a temper tantrum that would pass.

Evan Bayh is an asshole, and we don't have anyone who could beat him, because Hoosiers are in love with him for reasons passing understanding.

For all the worrying about the Blue Dogs, they don't seem to be showing any signs of rebellion.  If anything, their spines may have been stiffened a bit by the townhall crazies.

As always, it's the Senate that matters.

Well, let's hope for some audacity...

Apparently HoJo's office says that, while he has reservations on the public option, it's not a deal-breaker for him.

So we're down to Pretty Little Evan.

Oh, and whatsherface in Louisiana, but she typically waffles until the very end and votes the right way.  That'll be helped by the fact that Obama is doing pretty well there on his approvals, last I checked.
