Voting age is 18 in all the Member States.
I take it the age is set on EU level? Then I think it is appropriate to tie these two together. Unless one wants to use this as an opportunity to push it downwards, then 16 is probably a good suggestion. A vote for PES is a vote for EPP! A vote for EPP is a vote for PES! Support the coalition, vote EPP-PES in 2009!
I generally think that tying it to the requirements to vote in the EU elections is a good idea.
