Welcome to the new version of European Tribune. It's just a new layout, so everything should work as before - please report bugs here.
I really enjoyed your synopsis of this event. It's bound to evolve in interesting ways and it's good to see the young people jumping on the bandwagon at the early stages. It's a wonderful way to get to know people, share ideas, and the networking opportunities are limitless. Personally, I think it's wonderful.

As goodies bags are normally filled with donated stuff, all I can say is they sure had some interesting sponsors. Good for them. Gotta keep thinkin' outside the laatikko, just as you say. Unfortunately, most of the time most of the stuff is just filler and ends of going to the landfill. At least some of the stuff you got has a useful purpose. Okay, so I won't ask about the horse, but have decided what you're going to do with the fancy bags and jewelry? Oh yes, you have two daughters. Problem solved.

Thanks! Since the event it has been a continuing conversation as to how we can improve the site (and the award ceremony). The consensus moves toward having an open thread-type addition.

Yes the goodie bag is going straight to the Girls - though one's not coming back from France till the 16th, so fair sharing has to be considered ;-)

I still have no idea why there was a horse on the red carpet...

You can't be me, I'm taken
