The police in Finland said Saturday that a number of people had been affected by a pepper spray attack during a gay pride parade, part of the Helsinki Pride festival.

Three suspects were taken into custody, with the incident investigated as a series of assaults.
The police added that no one had been seriously hurt in the attacks.

The incident happened on Aleksanterinkatu in central Helsinki just after 1pm.

apparently they set off a smoke bomb and then, sing it as cover, lurched into the crowd attacking people at random, including children.
