Welcome to the new version of European Tribune. It's just a new layout, so everything should work as before - please report bugs here.
Regarding smoking prohibitions, that's not to make people kick the silly habit burt to protect non-smkers. I don't know what's the situation in the UK at the moment, but if it reached the state as in Hungary (total ban in restaurants, closed workplaces, public transport, and even open places where people mass like underpasses, waiting platforms and stations), then the issue is enforcement, because there are too many assholes like Jérôme says (even if they are not a majority).

Regarding criminals with a different agenda, what about he manufacturers? For me the whole story reeks of a tobacco industry 'black' campaign gone awry: that "Freedom2Choose" website, although they claim no connections to the tobacco industry, sounds suspicious.
