The other energy-related news of last week from Germany was the agreement of both houses of parliament on the revision of the feed-in law for photovoltaics, after upper house stopped it. The compromise reduced the one-off cut and eliminated the new unpaid 10% own-use rule for plants below 40 kW, while adding a new cap of 52 GW installed, when feed-in rates would run out and only feed-in priority would remain. However, with 28 GW on-line at present, 52 GW wouldn't be reached before the first future revision under the next federal government.
