Html parsing: the paragraph tag <p> acts like a <br> ie doesn't insert a line feed between paragraphs.

No, doing what used to work (but is frowned upon). This means the rools are being applied? <gasp>

Also unordered list <ul></ul> isn't producing bullet points.

Ah, but that's cheating. Preview showed no line feed, but then they appeared on Post.

HTML parsing: ∗bold∗ works, but _italics_ doesn't. It works using <i> but not using <em>.
