There is a conversation going on currently in this Front Page diary: We Shall Fight Them On the Statistics

In this conversation, The European Tribune and LocustWatch community has been offered an opportunity to present a one day conference in Brussels, Belgium, to present our European views (and statistics, etc.). From a community member Ritter:

I would extend an invitation to the LocustWatch group of the European Tribune Blog on behalf of the German Socialdemocratic Party Working Group on Globalisation Issues in Brussels. The location to hold the conference would be at the Friedrich Ebert Foundation. The FES is the think tank of the SPD.

We would go as an independent progressive communications group, and the SPD often asks speakers from different viewpoints to come present ideas. This would be for mid-January. Three months to get a presentation of our ideas organized (and get ourselves organized too!). And since European Tribune is an open source community, we would like your input in discussing this conference here.

The topic would be about the kinds of information that has been being presented here at European Tribune, where (as the above referenced Article states) "We shall fight them with statistics"...more importantly, this is an opportunity give other people the information we have dug up on different topics, so as to help more people get the tools to start to push back against the Neo-Con line.

I think this is all I will say at the moment, and we can just start talking about where we are, what we want to do, how, etc. Let's begin...

This is a comment made on an invisible thread... What fun!

The thread may be invisible (thought it is linked from the wiki) but the comment is not. It's sort of amusing how vulnerable invisibility is.
