Stephen Colbert commented Monday on Congressional passage of the Lieberman-Kyl Amendment which "calls on President Bush to declare Iran's Revolutionary Guard a terrorist organization."
"But not everyone supports our troops enough to give them the job security a war with Iran would provide," Colbert continued. "People like Senator Jim Webb, who voted against the amendment, calling it 'Dick Cheney's fondest pipe dream.' Well that is completely unfair. Everyone knows Dick Cheney's fondest pipe dream is driving a bulldozer into the New York Times while drinking crude oil out of Keith Olbermann's skull."

Ok, ok--- so it's a US-centric joke, but it's awfully funny anyway.

Memory Hole:

(somebody's ) Raiders-- a wonderfully funny movie about a handful of neer-do-well army types at the latter part of WW II who discovered that the Third Reich had stashed a huge cache of gold bullion in a small town far behind German lines, and set out to get the gold.
Picture:
A Sherman tank, festooned with loudspeakers playing ear-splitting shit-kickin' hillbilly music as they ploughed through German lines and blasted their way into the bank with the Bullion. Truly funny- anyone remember the movie?

The above joke would make a great cartoon--wish I had that sort of talent.
