June 23rd Meetup in Carcassonne

Reminder: Lunch at the Brasserie of the Hotel Terminus, in Carcassonne, near the Station, 12:30-1:00 p.m. etc, etc.

This time, I'd like to suggest that, if you travel by car, you take time to explore our beautiful countryside:

Well, I'm definitely in a car. Will be staying in and around Carcasonne for a couple of days either side. My firends are currently on their boat on the Canal du midi and may be there

In terms of attactions, don't forget the circular field pattern below the Oppidum d'Enserun, but ya gotta know what you're looking at to appreciate what a fantastic achievement it was.

It depends if you'd rather stay near the medieval cité or in town.

Near the Cité: HOTEL ARAGON:

In town: HOTEL TERMINUS (where we have the luncheon):
Website.

In town is close to the station, the station has a shuttle to the airport; it's still quite nice, near the Canal du Midi across a park.

Near the Cité is breathtakingly gorgeous, esp. at night. But it's a 20 min walk or so to the center of town. Plenty of taxis though.
