Oh dear.  You're the second guy to ask me that in a week.  I'm afraid I'll have to change my answer for you.  I'll go with "posting too much information on ET."

:)

But doesn't that answer conflict with your vice?

Well, it just sounded like in another circumstances you might have said something other than,

"posting too much information on ET."

which, perhaps would fit the category of "too much information" a little better?

I'm confused.  You want me to post something that qualifies as "too much information"?

I really really really want to take my cat to FermiLab for a tour.  See?  You didn't need to know that.  It is apropos of nothing.  Too much information.

No.  I am not going to tell you what my other answer to the vice question was.  That would qualify as "Far too much information."

Come, my friends, 'Tis not too late to seek a newer world.

Your answer was self-referential. Self-reference carries great danger! Confusion is all but guaranteed. All the more reason to like it, though I do not know if it is a vice.

Eggs?!

Hm.  "Vice" must have a different meaning in Wales.  I'm using the Wikipedia definition:

Vice is a practice or habit considered immoral, depraved, and/or degrading in the associated society. In more minor usage, vice can refer to a fault, a defect, an infirmity or merely a bad habit. Synonyms for vice include fault, depravity, sin, iniquity, wickedness and corruption.

Now I will never look at brunch the same again...

The Worst EU Lobbying Awards is always good to read in order to get an overview of the muck that was brought up in Brussels in the past year. I didn't know that a major corporate association had free office space inside the European Parliament that it uses to lobby MEPs, for instance...

Voting is open until Sunday.

Worst EU Lobbying Awards 2008 -

Who deserves to be named and shamed for the most deceptive or misleading lobbying campaign in Brussels this year? You decide! Cast your votes until 30 November! The winners will be announced at a special ceremony in Brussels on Tuesday 9th December.

Yeah.  I think they sent it out to everyone on the mailing list.

They show you page one on the site but don't let you see pages 2-4 before they get your info.  Do you feel it has any value as a "contact method" into the Obama machine or is it a waste of time?

I love the smell of roast chicken in the morning!
by THE Twank (yatta blah blah @ blah.com) on Wed Nov 26th, 2008 at 11:59:44 AM EST

Well, since it was sent out to all of the supporters, they already had our contact info.

Yes, they will use your contact info to ask for money.  They will also use it to keep you up to fate about what they are doing.  But the way the survey reads, they wanted feedback and ideas from people who actually worked on the campaign - to keep those supporters involved in the process.

If you are not willing to sign up with the campaign, you are probably not going to be considered a "supporter" and you will notice that the survey is called a "Supporter Survey".  If I recall correctly, they asked what you did, how you were involved, to rate your experiences with different aspects of the campaign, tell them what you thought worked best & least, and ideas for how to keep the "movement" going, what to do next, etc.

There is a sep. page for regular citizens to post their ideas:

http://www.change.gov/page/s/ofthepeople

Yes, you have to give them you info.  If that freaks you out, you probably should not be going around filling out online surveys...

The change.gov site looks interesting.  I'm not the political sort, not interested in "keeping the movement going".  Hell, they've got enough bodies to do that.  I just want to be in the system so that a year from now when all hell is breaking loose and they realize that the old bulls**t is not solving the current problems, I might represent one of the "ideas laying about" that they might approach in order to pull their fat out of the fire.

Once again, thank you.
