I'm curious (and envious) too, but our ´angels´ are no simple lot.  Video meet!

Surely not anything remotely relating to beer?

Fran, inwales and myself went sightseeing. finally texting metatone and nanne late pm who'd run into each other while they were doing the same. So we walked to the pub where they were at and ate much meat (apart from Fran).

Then on to U Fleku where several beers of unique style were drunk and home.

More when I sober up and understand what was said.

American blogs are becoming as bad at political analysis as the mainstream media.

Our youthful Foreign Minister, Alexander Stubb, ran the Helsinki Marathon on Saturday in the very decent time of 3.31.25. It might even have been faster had he not been interrupted mid-race by a call from Condoleeza Rice.

Alexander's heavy breathing must have stirred up some feelings in the Secretary of State - she rang twice more before the finish line. Seeking the Finnish line possibly.

What was she seeking? Testimonials on the subject of "Finlandization?"

Just arrived at the ferry port for the Arann Islands to visit Christopher's new third cousin. Weather stormy, so the ferry could be fun . . .

Huh. The hotel has acceptable wi-co. Crappy phone coverage but usable Internet.

I did a 30 mile / 50km ride around San Francisco yesterday with some friends. To be honest I haven't biked that far in a year, but it wasn't a problem other than in the hills near the golden gate bridge. When I get back from my trip I'll probably change my cross bike over to mountain bike gearing - tootling along at 5 kph is better than stopping to rest every 50m on the steeper hills.

I was at some friends' anniversary bash last night, and stepped outside for a moment to find myself staring straight at a fine partial eclipse of the moon. Probably half the world saw it, but I didn't know there was going to be one, so the surprise was a bonus. Nobody else at this fiesta knew about it either, and nobody cared.

Me,too.

I thought for about five minutes it was just a cloud obscuring most of the moon, and then realised...
