A second article regarding the local Tent City has appeared in today's Sacramento Bee. This phenomenon is getting international attention and is generating strong feelings on many sides. I'll reference today's article, cite some of the representative comments, and then ask ET/Europe, how do you handle poverty? It's not a new phenomenon and is likely to get much worse. Any suggestions for your Anglo neighbors?

Time will pass very quickly now and in a week we will have not only a new US administration in waiting headed by now Sen. Obama but Sen. John McCain will rapidly fade from the scene and be forgotten. Let's take this opportunity to generate a compendium of sincere (and not so sincere) comments directed to John in his fading days.

I was on a mission from God Jerome to compose a letter of congratulations to Paul Krugman which will also serve as an effective invitation for him to come and star in a live blogging session at ET. Composition of the letter doesn't appear to be a big problem but the possibility of getting Krugman to live blog at ET, now or in the near future, seems to be in doubt. Before this project goes further the ET citizenry should decide what is a reasonably worthwhile goal, with good chance of success, for this project.
