Excellent diary. I do have one problem, namely the invocation of Che as a positive.  Che represents the way some on the left succumbed to the temptation of violence and repression in an ends-justify-means approach.  Also Ortega isn't someone I'd think anyone should root for. His rule in the eighties wasn't exactly a model of democracy (which certainly doesn't excuse US support first for Somoza and then the contras who were even worse in terms of human rights) and since then he has become yet another corrupt politician.
