Google also seems to be in on this, at least in a supportive role as part of the MSM, obscuring the place's name so that curious surfers don't get too much info. They used to have the place as "Diego Garcia" on google maps, but now they have it as "British Indian Ocean Territories" which is a name i doubt anybody outside british govt circles has ever heared. they have also reduced the possible zoom even more that what i remember was about 6 months ago.
