We've sat huddled around a turf-burning stove trying to get the boat dry for the last two days. I'm home now, but had to take a warm shower earlier to try and get properly warm.

Afraid not. It's due to make much of Ireland wetter, except the east coast, and in the ultimate insult, global warming could stop the gulf stream making Ireland much, much, colder.
