Welcome to European Tribune. It's gone a bit quiet around here these days, but it's still going.

I don't get the point of this diary. Is this a rant about how it's America's fault that the urban poor in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and other countries are mad at the west?

Just trying to decipher the message here...

Still not sure I understand. It seems to me that even if the evil America and Britain and Israel were to vanish from the face of the earth, countries like Iraq and Saudi Arabia and Egypt would still have massive problems. Terrorist acts in the West won't change that.

You can talk all day long about America's "propaganda ministry" but it doesn't accomplish anything. The problems are rooted in the political and religious systems in the Islamic world, and the West has almost nothing to do with it.

Simply stated - Invasion of Iraq was a great waste of people and resources. In addition, it works counterproductive as it creates the terrorists for new generations. Nice legacy left by Bush/Cheney for our grandchildren.

Very similar to foreign policy under Alle American president Reagan and $$bn CIA support for Saddam Hussein in Iraq and Osama Bin Laden in Afghanistan from 1980-88. Bush Jr. doesn't mop up, rather aggravates the terror problem.

Fallujah

The administration gets away with their crimes against humanity based on deceit & lies, through their propaganda ministry.
