Ms. Voigt comes across as someone with an "honest and straight talking" persona, a bit like Clinton or Blair at their most professional. All about image. Well played.
They say people get the candidates they deserve. I wonder where Paliament Big Brother will take us?
(Oh and "Lie Detector"? WTF? Do people really believe it measures anything except stress? What's next, Tarot elections?)
Could it be any weirder than what we get now?
Beyond the lie detector, we now have methods to see, in real time, which areas of the brain are most active at any given moment in time.
We now know that there are hundreds of areas within the brain which are more active in reaction to different stimulii. And, because of evolution, these areas function in a conceptually different way than our conscious perception of reality. So, for example, a set of neural networks that have evolved to process friend or foe type conundrums, will also reveal brain activity for other similar problems.
Now, don't quote me. but I think I read recently in a science mag that the area of the brain activated when telling the truth is different from the one when you are not. It is a physiological phenomenon that would reveal liars far more accurately than galvanic measurements of the skin... You can't be me, I'm taken
It would begin with Presidents, PMs and Kings undergoing global questioning live - with a drop into a vat of boiling asphalt below as a reward for saying something your brain can't support..
But eventually I would have to do the same thing.... You can't be me, I'm taken
"Tinfoil hat? You're soaking in it!"
