Metrowagonmash deserved to lose just for the English (?) on their site. Is their Hungarian any better? Or were they allowed to submit their bid in Russian?

They are pretty well established here (having supplied all trains for lines 2 and 3), so language is not a problem.

I note my railway had (and has) a helluva' lot of problems with diesel multiple units they supplied, though, it should be mentioned in their defense that this was the first diesel-powered, full-railway, non-automatic-coupled, buffered product of theirs, with almost all errors linked to lack of experience in these fields - while subway trains are their core competency.
