Welcome to European Tribune. It's gone a bit quiet around here these days, but it's still going.

Grannydoc on Kos seems to have plunged into despair.

I want to stand by and watch it all blow up.

I want the dollar to plunge to worthless paper.

I want the stock market to implode.

I want the economy to plunge into chaos.

I want the Chinese to call in all the debt they hold.

Having discussed a couple of ideas at the ET meet about how this could actually be  done and then backed off because I (we) genuinely don't want 100 million deaths on my (our) conscience, I really think she is being unwise in this discussion. I regret it has been recommended. Not because it proves what republicans say about liberals all the time about hating america, they say that anyway.

No, it's because it plants the idea, encourages those who might wish to do something and, knowing how easy it might be, that really really scares me.

With Warren Buffet telling people for a long time now to move their investments out of the US and sell their dollars, what, exactly, could we do to trigger a free fall of the dollar? Seems hubris to me. Or are there famous billionaire investors among us that I should know of?
