Of course, when Dickens toured the US, he was first thrilled by his reception, until he found out that so many Americans read his works because they were available in cheap pirated editions ... on which point he became outraged. I've been accused of being a Marxist, yet while Harpo's my favourite, it's Groucho I'm always quoting. Odd, that.
