Welcome to European Tribune. It's gone a bit quiet around here these days, but it's still going.

I'm genuinely surprised that both sexes were given a chance by the Minoans. I appreciate that the Minoans were a millennium earlier, but I'd always assumed that all of the greek civilisations (Sparta excepted) were pretty sexist. eg Women weren't even allowed to attend the early Olympics.

But I still think the Pamplona thing has degenerated into a silly blokish rite of machismo, whatever its original intentions. I'm disappointed there are enough males fooled into doing it, let alone that women want to do it as well.

How about a goat-run ? I hear they can give you a nasty butt.

The minoans were not Greek. In fact, they were contemporaneous with (and eventually overrun by) Mycenae which was "Greek".

Can the last politician to go out the revolving door please turn the lights off?
