I work in the US for a large US-based corporation (with nearly 40,000 employees worldwide).  We've had a 37.5 hour work week for the whole time I've worked there, going on ten years now...and yet, we are still productive and profitable.  Imagine that.  I doubt shaving off 2.5 hours a week would make much of a difference in terms of productivity and revenue.  In fact, I'd hazard a guess that reducing from 40 to 37.5 was a good decision (profit-wise) since they've kept it for so long.

Small varmints, if you will.
