talks about, translating directly, "the volume of annual work" being lower - what is that exactly (I think I can guess) and why would that be important? It seems to me a good thing that you have a lower annual volume and a productive economy. But now I've learned that productivity is measured by GDP divided by population I really am wondering about the relevance of that metric too...
