Welcome to European Tribune. It's gone a bit quiet around here these days, but it's still going.
That´s very similar to what I do as far as rating and replying goes. Opening new tabs is extremely useful for not losing "new" comment information.

My ET sessions usually start on the recent comments page, by opening every "parent" in a new browser window. Posting a reply will load the whole diary so I can read the comment thread and see any "new" comments. When I´m done responding to the recent comments I go to my own comments and open the ones that have replies (also wach in a new window). Then I go through the recent diaries list starting with the oldest diary that shows on the list and that I haven´t read. Of course, how far along this I get depends on how much time I have.

Can the last politician to go out the revolving door please turn the lights off?

It figures.  You both have it down to a science and now I know your fast tricks.  ;)  I will practice.

Jeez, I've just been picking diaries and reading them linearly from the top town.

Now I feel inadequate.

The fact is that what we're experiencing right now is a top-down disaster. -Paul Krugman
