Welcome to European Tribune. It's gone a bit quiet around here these days, but it's still going.

That makes me smile.  I know if I suggest changing the rating system for smileys, I´ll be banned, but it really would be much more expressive than a number!

As professional anarchists, I don't think we are doing our job unless there's a banning threat now and again ;-)

I would like to see a change in the rating system on ET. I think 0 and 1 are rather useless; there are no trolls on ET and "warning" is meaningless.
I propose a system of 4, 3, S, and A. 4 and 3 would retain their current meanings; S would be for "stupid" and A for "asshole" when someone really got out of hand.
I know my system is not "cultured," but sometimes "low-brow" works better.

The only useless rating is '3', which is hardly ever used and, at best, confusing.

The 0-1-2 'punitive' ratings work quite well IMHO.

Hi Migeru. I hadn't said "Hello" to you since you've been back. And congratulations to you and your new wife.

I tend to see '3' as elaborate insults, but as they mostly seem to be used by mistake, it's hard to use them.
