Welcome to European Tribune. It's gone a bit quiet around here these days, but it's still going.
In 1979 a company I worked for in Hollywood had a secretary who was a member of a band named Atascadero.  The California State Hospital for the Criminally Insane, as it was then known, was located in Atascadero.  So naturally, the band had to give a benefit performance for the inmates of the hospital.  As our secretary recounted, the front man and lead singer for the band opened the show by saying: "The California State Hospital for the Criminally Insane.  Hell!  The United States of America is owned and operated by the Criminally Insane!"  With that, the audience went crazy, and they opened their show.  I don't know how far Atascadero got beyond the confines of the hospital, but it was a great story and I agree with the band leader.
