Welcome to European Tribune. It's gone a bit quiet around here these days, but it's still going.

And there's more!

Daily Kos: State of the Nation

COURIC: And when it comes to establishing your world view, I was curious, what newspapers and magazines did you regularly read before you were tapped for this -- to stay informed and to understand the world?

PALIN: I've read most of them again with a great appreciation for the press, for the media --

COURIC: But what ones specifically? I'm curious.

PALIN: Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years.

COURIC: Can you name any of them?

PALIN: I have a vast variety of sources where we get our news.

She can't name a single magazine or newspaper.

She doesn't read the newspaper.

Not even whatever little goat-fucker coloring book of a paper the yokels read in Juneau, AK.

I want to die.

What do you have against the Juneau Empire?

Seeing as though Palin doesn't read the Juneau Empire, they might want to reconsider the "Sarah Palin: road to the White House" banner they're displaying across the top of their website.

We have a winner. :)

But that was five colleges and twenty years ago.

Is there even a word for this? A historical reference? Something?

Watching Palin is like discovering an entire new contintent of stupid - it's a new world, stranger and more exotic than anything the human race has known before, with untapped resources of craven idiocy which reach all the way down into the planet's molten core.

This reminds me.  I had a new article for you, TBG:

Fark | Old and busted: McCain doesn't know where Spain is. New walnuts: McCain doesn't know where Venezuela is

Apparently Venezuela is now in the Middle East.

Somebody on one of the blogs (can't find it now) identified some far-right journal on her desk. So it's possible she's been told not to talk about which newspapers she reads, in case she mentions the wrong ones.

RealClearPolitics - Cross Tabs Blog - Sarah Palin and the John Birch Society?
In a picture supplied by Sarah Palin's family to the Associated Press, Palin appears with some rather odd reading matter: The magazine of the ultraconservative John Birch Society.
