The records concerning the damage effects in Bucharest, due to the Vrancea earthquakes, start with the August 19, 1681 (MW=7.1) event, and continue with the June 11, 1738 (MW=7.7); October 26, 1802 (MW=7.9); November 23 and 26, 1829 (MW=7.3); January 11, 1838 (MW=7.5) events.
