Since the Paris meetup is so late, i'll have to rethink my idea for a fall meetup in Bremen.

We will do this. I was originally thinking early fall (assuming i sign the wohnung contract this week.) If we meet in Paris 12 Sept that rules out fall. So it might not be 'til next spring. (Who wants to come to Bremen in winter, when all there is is the best Weinachts Markt in Germany.)

Fran, i'll do everything i can to be in Paris in spetember. merely meant that i'd rethink when to have a meetup in bremen.

I'm definitely up for Bremen (as you know). Anytime. Perhaps we could persuade Jake and NordicStorm etc?

Paris is a possibility. If my daughter is still studying in France (the Delphic Oracle is required for any preknowldge of this), then more of a probability. I also have a long-delayed trip to Lyon to make ;-)

then do a Bremen meetup beforehand. I appreciate it may fall right into people's summer holidays but so long as it doesn't clash with WOMAD (late July) I'd be very tempted.

I only failed Amsterdam due to being in a new job and not getting the time off.

I'll be in Rotterdam 14-16th June. How about 12-14th. June?

There's no chance of a summer meet in Bremen, for me, because I will be homeless between 2 June and middle or end of July. when my new Wohnung is ready. but i must leave where i am now in a few weeks, hence the gap. always the chance of a private meet. there has been some talk of putting me back on the road in June as well.

Yikes, the flights are ridiculously expensive into rotterdam. Can't afford it I fear. I can't even begin to justify anything over £150 for a weekend I fear.

I was suggesting combining my meeting in Rotterdam with a meet-up in Bremen, not a meet-up in Rotterdam! Unfortunately June doesn't suit CH, so we'll have to go back to plan B and wait until after the Fall!

(Flights into Amsterdam Schipol are often cheap, and trains from Schipol easy. I don't remember the train fare to Rotterdam, and I think I would have if it were that high...)
