Going to Paris to drink beer (period) sounds wrong.
You should be drinking some good French wine! There's plenty of it around: white, red, rosé, bubbly, cooked, sweet, dry, semi, fruity, oaky, vanilla, ... you name it. Much better than beer (at least when in France).
