just quick update on situation in Nepal
yesterday Maoists sacked army chief general Kerawal because he was dead against integration of former Maoist rebels into national army. Communists (United Marxists Leninists) withdrew support and Congress workers started street protests. However Prachanda government still has slim majority in parliament so I do not expect big trouble over sacking.

Unfortunately Maoists do not think about grim power situation in the country as the priority, without electricity there cannot be any development, investment, even visitors like me who could stay in the country for many months prefer to fly somewhere else just because of lack of power. How I could work on the article let alone books if my laptop does not work? How I can read books using headtorch?

Nepal is in dire need of urgent external help, credits for extra electricity supply from India or China. Otherwise it's going to collapse.
