You draw comparisons to the BNP. From what you say about Wilders' politics, although he seems to be right wing and racist, it doesn't seem to be quite to the extent of the fascist BNP. But that appearance may be because Wilders hides his true colours on the more extreme right of his views.
The BNP's policies on immigration are fairly explicit - they believe all non-whites should be 'sent home' and that there is no such thing as a British asian or black British person.
I find it astonishing that someone so smarmy looking and with hair like Wilders has managed to tap into the popularist vote so well.
The point you make about PVV becoming an outlet for xenophobes that they didn't have before, is really important and very much applicable to the BNP too.
I've not come across the idea of a party consisting of one member... must admit I don't quite get the concept!
