Unfortunately David is off-line until early Sunday, so I'll try to contribute what I can on the diary- or rather the diaries, as they are all linked together. A brief introduction of Karon von Gehrke is definitely in order and we will do so.

 Further, it would certainly be helpful to put up brief bios of the numerous actors involved.

David did explain how he discovered the identity of Karon von Gehrke in his diary Not quite the 'perfect fix?' last December. Karon had made several highly informed insider comments on several sites under pseudonyms, as well as her own name. Following that diary, David contacted her. She has been very generous with her knowledge and documentation, time and patience. Speaking for myself I cannot thank her enough for giving sense to the numerous loose ends we ran up against- and introducing still more riddles that we continue to grapple with. Her contribution has been fundamental.

Contingent to this are actual events that govern our inquiries. At the moment this is the only logic behind the sequencing of these diaries. The world moves very fast, hallmarked by significant and contingent events, by information and its misrepresentation, by dissimulation and silence. Each player acts in accordance with his interests, yet may assume any number of roles to strut and fret his hour on the stage.
