Welcome to European Tribune. It's gone a bit quiet around here these days, but it's still going.

and and deluge Ireland with a potential 75 Million Turks.

Funny. Must be 150 million Turks around then, 'cause those 75 mil are supposedly heading for Denmark as soon as the border comes down, at least according to our local haters. Toss in Sweden, where I've seen similar arguments being made propaganda being spread, and you have 225 million Turks in total. No wonder people are scared of the Ottomans...

Maybe I should take out a short position in the Turkish real estate market and start lobbying for Lisbon to pass.

Lisbon facilitates an 'ever closer Union' [...]

Dude. That language has been in every treaty since Maastricht...

But of course, back in 1992 all the Very Serious People were all smiles, because at that time the EU was all about the free, internal market. With none of those meddling Eurocrats who prevent your bank in Montserrat from hiding your taxation rate.

Lisbon makes the EU a state - and Ireland becomes but a province within it

Dude, that train sailed in Maastricht in '92. "Ever closer union" and all that.

Didn't hear any of you guys come to the defence of the anti-capitalist protesters who were shot at in Copenhagen in '92 for protesting Maastricht/Edinburgh. But of course I might have missed it - I wasn't very old at the time...

Do we need an 'EU supreme court' to overrule our values

Judging by the vile garbage in this leaflet, I'd say that yes, yes you do.
