Welcome to European Tribune. It's gone a bit quiet around here these days, but it's still going.
Six months prior to Reid's near shoe bombing of American Airlines flight 63 from Paris to Miami in December 2001, while memories of 9/11 were still fresh in everyone's mind, Reid attempted to board an El Al flight from Schiphol to Tel Aviv.

Talk of misleading writing! The reference to memories of 9/11 is there to make you think that El Al didn't pass the information on because of some nefarious reason, rather than because they didn't think it important (which couldn't have been the case, since "memories of 9/11" were fresh in their mind).

The  details in this sentence are factually correct, but completely misleading. Six months before December 2001 is July 2001, before 9/11, making it quite possible that either the Israelis did not think it important, or simply couldn't be bothered getting the information through to an uninterested Bush administration.

Thanks, I made an update and left out most of the info from Rense. I used a reliable source for the travel of Richard Reid to Israel in July 2001.
