Welcome to European Tribune. It's gone a bit quiet around here these days, but it's still going.

The ultimate irony is that Israelis consider themselves victims today to a higher degree than ever before and feel less sympathy for the Palestinians than previously (as refered by Levy), while they have never been victims to a lesser degree than today. I blame this on the morally corrupting and corrosive effects of the occupation.

Back in the days when people in general considered Israel the victim of the bully neighbours (until 1973+ basically), Israelis saw themselves less as victims than they do today, when the situation is the reverse. Irony indeed.

Peak oil is not an energy crisis. It is a liquid fuel crisis.
