There is no great shortage of established economists on both sides of this issue. This is the same process that went on with the people who were warning that the crash was just around the corner. They were labeled as "fringe opinion". Unfortunately, the only thing that is likely to put the cork in this bottle, would be for the bottom to fall out again. That is not an unlikely possibility.
