An Asian TA took some kids (who happened also to be Asian), and who couldn't manage the walk, in her car, and parked in a nearby car park.

They were verbally abused by a white couple, who then followed them, repeating the abuse.  And you can't, when you're with somebody else's children in a professional capacity, respond with the spirit you might if you were on your own. For the children's safety, she had to return to the car park and lock the kids in the car with her until the racists went away.

I'm...there just aren't any words for this feeling of seething, impotent rage.  I can't remember when I was last this angry.

And all the way to the nature reserve, we walkers were passing UKIP campaign posters, designed to stir up hatred against immigrants.
