I'd love to know more about your thoughts on Yakutsk. I'm sure for many of us brought up in the West I find it hard to imagine what it must bel ike to be brought up in such a remote area. I appreciate it becomes your normal, but how do you view the almost impossibly distant outside world ?

and when you left, did you deliberately turn your back or was it simply fascination with the next corner ?

I apologise if I'm asking personal stuff you may not wish to share, but this is an aspect of the world I have no concept of and I'm curious.
