Welcome to European Tribune. It's gone a bit quiet around here these days, but it's still going.

Yes, oh, yes. Absolutely it is summer. Went to a bbq, drank a lot of (too much?) wine. Sunny and warm all day long. Most certainly summer. *hick*

Sounds like fun. Lovely summer weekend here too, until the thunderstorm half an hour ago.

summer was yesterday here, it's been cloudy all day and we are promised rain for most of next week. Autumn soon after.

We went from late winter to midsummer temperatures in 2 weeks.  Now struggling to adjust to 100/38 (F/C) the difficulty of which is perfectly expressed by the Swedish word "sommerloj," meaning "summer lazy."

Be back at it in a week or two but now all I want to do is loll in the summer heat and, when I get the energy, take a nap.

Sunny but chilly in Finland. We had to abandon plans to eat outside. I think we'll take in a couple of 'Curb your enthusiasm' episodes.

We had summer yesterday. It was delightful. Temperatures around 75, spent it at the beach in Carmel.

In true Monterey tradition, a warm day like that attracts the fog bank closer in, and it's now hovering about two blocks to the west. Thankfully my view is to the east, of the bay and the Big Sur mountains. Hoping for a fog-free summer, especially after 2009 was socked in from June to August.

I miss the fog. There's nothing quite like the fog rolling in after a hot summer's day in the City . . .

I was doing a loop around SF on my motorcycle yesterday and I couldn't resist stopping at ocean beach for an hour. I've never seen it so sunny, warm, and uh, un-windy as it was yesterday.
