An Inside Look at Bernie Madoff's Life in Prison -- New York Magazine
But that evening an inmate badgered Madoff about the victims of his $65 billion scheme, and kept at it. According to K. C. White, a bank robber and prison artist who escorted a sick friend that evening, Madoff stopped smiling and got angry. "Fuck my victims," he said, loud enough for other inmates to hear. "I carried them for twenty years, and now I'm doing 150 years."

Oh at 72 years old, I doubt he'll serve the full 150 years.

He's doing 150 years, my ass.  He's essentially in protective custody.  Someone in the know (I think he was interviewed on the Daily Show weeks ago) said that Madoff stole from the wrong people and if he was free, he'd be dead.  Suck it up Bernie.  You got caught!

They tried to assimilate me. They failed.

I dunno. If the wrong people wanted him to pay the price, he'd be dead already.

I don't know.  Maybe the US can still do something right ... jail people and keep them alive.

They tried to assimilate me. They failed.
