I guess you meant trains on rails, and helping curb global warming. If European passengers use trains instead of dirty energy as China does, that's how it does. I note that China is expanding its railways massively, too, so there is hope that the Americanisation of Chinese passenger transport will be stalled -- though to clean it up, cleaning up the Chinese presently coal-heavy power sector would also be needed.

Then there is the US, with its massively oil-guzzling local passenger transport.
