I think on balance Cameron's action are bad for Britain. Given the choice between a failure of the Euro and then the Pound with Britain outside, and the same failure with Britain inside, it seems to me that in the long run it would be better to be inside, so as to participate in whatever the next step of the process might be.

The question I have is whether the LibDems will be able to hang in with the coalition or if this will cause that to collapse. I was not under the impression that Clegg's party is 100% Eurosceptic. If that happens, maybe the British government will change in time to opt back into the ongoing evolution of Europe...
