Welcome to European Tribune. It's gone a bit quiet around here these days, but it's still going.

The Irish have always suffered from wind something chronic (as the Welsh well know, with what blows over from the West).

But surely some consideration has to be given to the consequences for the planet of taking all the oomph out of Irish wind. The Irish may feel better for it, but what about Mother Nature? Fiddle around with her at your risk and peril. And this is no butterfly effect we're talking about here.

So let us err on the side of safety, and let the Irish go on dealing with their wind as they always have. The planet will thank them for it.
