I recall Cyrille recommending a restaurant in the Belleville-Ménilmontant area, and I'm not sure if there wasn't a meet-up there once.

Probably, I think at one point there was an outing to Père Lachaise, which is right there.

Food-wise I know plenty, and the Oberkampf neighbourhood is full of good bars...

The Père Lachaise jaunt was two years ago.

Afterwards, we went to a Chinese restaurant (in your neighbourhood). It was fun but something different would be an idea this time.

There's a good Cuban restaurant (very simple, but also very good, especially the porc) nearby.

Or, we could do dinner at my place depending on how many people are going to be there, and then hit the bars in Oberkampf.

I think it was slightly more to the South. I remember suggesting Les Allobroges, but that's Nation / Maraîchers rather than Belleville. Can't remember a Belleville recommendation of mine -but then it was a while ago.
