Welcome to European Tribune. It's gone a bit quiet around here these days, but it's still going.

Do anyone know who were these English reporters? If they reported anything, it looks as though their papers didn't publish it. I wonder what the Russian press had to say?

The article in question is by Gabriele Paradisi who is rather close to Senator Paolo Guzzanti, president of the Mitrokhin Commission. He has often collaborated with Gian Paolo Pelizzaro, a consultant with the commission, and they have co-authored several articles. Pelizzaro wrote many in depth articles together with Vincenzo Nardiello for the very conservative Neapolitan daily, La Roma, on the Scaramella-Litvinenko affairs. The theorem that Talik had Litvinenko killed, popularized in the English press by Cathy Scott-Clark and Adrian Levy, originated with Pelizzaro and Nardiello.

Mr. Paradisi has also written a book sympathetic to Mr. Scaramella's position, Periodista di la verdad!

The curious claim that there would have been English and Russian correspondents at the last hearing only found myself and several local reporters present, among whom Giovanna Bartolucci for the San Marino TV and Andrea Rossini.

After Judge Corinaldesi pronounced the  sentence Mr. Scaramella and his excellent defense team, Sergio Rastrelli and Massimo Krogh, shuck hands with Judge Corinaldesi, Mr. Selva and his lawyer. Mr. Scaramella released no comments.

I am neither Russian nor English, simply American and Italian.

A Russian TV troupe did assist one hearing only when Mr. Scaramella testified. It appeared however that they were on operative terms with Mr. Paradisi who also filmed the hearing. Mr. Paradisi attended two hearings out of well over a dozen.
